Fully double, hand collected dahlia seeds. We process each pod by hand to make sure we collect quality seeds.
Dahlias are octopoids which means they have 8 sets of chromosomes. This trait contributes to the phenomenal diversity amongst dahlia flowers.
Even though we grow only fully double dahlias, the seedlings produced will still have open centers. Breading only doubles reduces the number of open centers and singles but it does not fully eliminate them. Pictured are some of the flowers from our seed.
